We are excited to present the Inclusive Wheelchair Sport Events – InWheel project.
Club for Youth Empowerment 018 (KOM 018) from Serbia implements the project together with IWA-Sport from Ireland, HOPE from North Macedonia, Levski from Bulgaria, Barcel’hona Sport Events from Spain and HSKUK from Croatia.
Project objective
InWheel promotes social inclusion through wheelchair basketball and encourages greater participation in this dynamic and inclusive sport. The project addresses the objectives of the Erasmus+ Sport “Not-for-Profit European Sport Events” action, with a particular focus on social inclusion through sport.
Its activities address barriers faced by persons with disabilities in sport and strengthen links between traditional basketball and wheelchair basketball. The project improves the visibility, quality and sustainability of inclusive events through structured training, local community engagement, awareness-raising and policy recommendations.
Countries and implementation period
The project is implemented in Bulgaria, Croatia, Ireland, North Macedonia, Serbia and Spain from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2027.
The project is co-funded by the European Union through Erasmus+ Sport under the “Not-for-Profit European Sport Events” action.
